Job Description:
- SME to manage data migration strategy planning Lead collaboration with respective technical area e.g., Oracle billing and CRM, and hand on to manage overall situation including self-development scripting to mitigate any issues found during the journey on data assessment planning.
- Conduct technical functional/nonfunctional requirements with various stakeholders and work with Project Managers to put together data migration strategy and plans for the entire program covering (Billing, CRM, and other platforms involved in the migration) with the support of our partner who is responsible for overall migration delivery.
- Create a plan of all activities and tasks required to populate the new solutions with all current and historical data necessary for the correct operation of the solutions.
- Develop associated resource requirements to implement the plan within the framework and constraints of the overall program plan and project plans.
- Monitor and report the progress of the data migration plan at the project level. Identify if there are issues and risks for the data migration activities.
- To identify a mitigation plan for the risk discovered.
- Manage and work with partners to coordinate activities for the ETL engineers to perform the data migration.
- Design a quality management scheme and plan for data migration activities including validation of loaded data to ensure the maximum efficiency and accuracy of data populated within the new solution.
- Create and maintain a progress tracker for all data migration activities and stages.
- Presentation of plans and progress to project and program boards.
- Work with the Architecture and the PMO team to develop and document a standard data migration approach.
Requirements:
- University degree in IT or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Migration Lead in the Telco Domain
- Telco Charging & Billing Migration Experience
- Digital Telco, Data modeling, and analysis techniques.
- Unix (Redhat Admin, Openstacks, Openshift), network (F5, PaloAlto), and MySQL knowledge will be an added advantage
- Possess good understanding and hands-on experience in ETL tools.
- Must have prior experience in leading and managing a minimum of 2 large data migration activities in the Telco Domain.
